Meet the Band Members
Lisa
Lisa’s parents were part of an Irish band, but her passion is for Americana. Starting on the 5 string banjo, she moved to the guitar as lead singer. Her vision is to cover the songs she loves with her own individuality.
Frank
Brought up in Ireland surrounded with Irish Traditional music and song, he has been playing harmonica and singing ever since. Moving to Somerset set up Irish trad band "Skelad" and "Murphy's Mongrels", playing Glastonbury in 1992.
Mike
Our new Bass Player, Mike, has been part of the Somerset music scene for many years. He brings a gentle, tuneful bass sound to the band.
Richard
5 String Banjo player, semi-pro keyboard player, and retired professional yacht skipper. Used to spend 50% of the gig re-tuning his banjo, but ordered a new Recording Kin from Thomann in October 2021. He's still waiting for it.
Ray
Ray brings 'twang' to the band! Often seen playing a Telecaster he helps drive Hopeville's unique sound.
Fil
Drumslinger Fil is an experienced drummer, percussionist, singer and occasional actor, and has been playing since the late 1960s. He also invented The Mighty Thunderbox (pat. pending).
